From September 24th until October 1st our class went on a language trip to Brighton. We arrived quite late in Brighton due to our flight being seriously delayed, but in the end it was really worth it. After having settled in with our guest families we had our first day of school. Our teacher Will always had some creative activities planned, which were mainly focused on improving our fluency in English. The language school provided us with a guide who showed us Brighton’s hotspots like the Royal Pavilion and the Lanes.
On our second day we visited Lewis. Our tour guide told us a lot about the town’s history and we also learned the true meaning of the peace sign.
On the third day we visited Rottingdean, a small but lovely village on the coast close to Brighton and were welcomed with quite a lot of wind. Now that the weekend finally arrived, we took the train to London. There we went on the famous London Eye and enjoyed the view of the city. Afterwards we all had some time of our own in Piccadilly Square. Our second day in London was spent at the London Tower. We even saw the Crown jewels, but unfortunately, we were not allowed to take any pictures. Lastly on our last day we visited Windsor castle. Due to the nice weather we had a great day there looking at the famous buildings and the chapel of the castle.
Our trip home proved to be a little adventure. Due to bad weather conditions some flights were cancelled, but ours was only delayed. So finally, we could return to Vienna safely.
